Honestly, I get where you’re coming from about privacy and resale, but I actually went with a telematics policy for my first year. Yeah, it was a little weird knowing my driving was being tracked, but the premium drop was huge—like, hundreds less. I do agree those “harsh braking” alerts can be kinda silly in city traffic though. Guess it’s a trade-off... I figured the data would reset after the policy ended anyway, so resale wasn’t a big deal for me. Just depends how much you want to save vs. peace of mind, I guess.
