Yeah, the “bundle and save” pitch always sounds tempting until you actually dig into what’s covered. I’ve got a couple of cars that need specific coverage, and USAA’s add-ons get pricey fast. Honestly, I’d rather pay a bit more for exactly what I want than risk gaps. And receipts? If mine aren’t in my glovebox, they’re probably gone forever…

Honestly, I hear you on the “bundle and save” thing. Last year, I tried to bundle my auto and renters with USAA thinking it’d be a no-brainer deal. Turns out, my rates barely budged—and with my accident history, the “savings” disappeared once they factored in all the little extras I actually needed. I’d rather pay for what covers me than get caught short just to save a few bucks. And yeah, tracking receipts? Half mine are probably under a seat somewhere...

Bundling sounded like a slam dunk to me too, until I actually started getting quotes. I figured, “Hey, everyone says you save big if you bundle,” but when I ran the numbers, it was like… what’s the point? I get what you mean about the “little extras”—I thought roadside assistance and rental coverage would be standard, but nope, those bumped my price right back up.

“I’d rather pay for what covers me than get caught short just to save a few bucks.”

Couldn’t agree more. I’d rather know I’m covered than find out the hard way that I cheaped out on something important. And receipts? I swear, if there’s ever a claim, I’ll be digging through glove compartments and old backpacks for weeks.

Honestly, it feels like the “bundle and save” thing is just marketing half the time. Maybe it works for some folks, but for me, I’d rather just pick what I need and not get distracted by the hype.
