I get what you mean—insurance paperwork can be a minefield. I’ve had to redo forms before because of a tiny error, and it’s a pain. When you switched online, did you get any kind of confirmation right away, or did you have to wait for an email or something? I always worry about that “in limbo” period where you’re not sure if you’re actually covered.

Honestly, I’ve always been a bit wary of the whole “instant confirmation” thing with online insurance. Maybe it’s just me being old school, but I like having something physical in my hand—especially when it comes to my ‘72 Chevelle. Last time I switched, the site said I was covered right away, but the actual policy docs took a day or two to show up in my inbox. That limbo period makes me nervous, especially if you’re planning to take the car out for a spin. I guess it’s technically covered, but I’d rather see it in writing before hitting the road.

I totally get where you’re coming from—there’s just something about holding that paper policy in your hand that feels more secure, especially with a classic like your Chevelle. I’ve had that same uneasy feeling waiting for the docs to show up in my inbox, even though the website says you’re covered. One thing I started doing is taking a screenshot of the confirmation page or saving the temporary ID card they usually provide online. It’s not quite the same as the old-school paperwork, but at least you’ve got something to show if you get pulled over during that weird in-between period. Not perfect, but it helps bridge the gap until the official docs land.
