Seriously, has anyone else had the joy (sarcasm intended) of dealing with insurance claims here in Oregon lately? I swear, it's like they intentionally make it as confusing as possible. Filled out a stack of paperwork, sent it off, and thought I was good to go. Nope. Got a letter back saying I missed somethingβof course, they didn't specify exactly what. Called customer service and got bounced around to three different people, each one sounding more confused than the last. I'm starting to think the whole system is designed to make you give up and pay out of pocket just to save your sanity. I mean, is it just me being unlucky, or is this the standard experience nowadays? Would love to hear if anyone else is stuck in this same frustrating loop...

Had a similar runaround last month after a minor fender-bender. Took weeks of back-and-forth calls before they finally approved repairs. Honestly feels like they're banking on us just giving up...
Yeah, had a similar experience last year when my '68 Mustang got rear-ended. Thought it'd be straightforward since the damage wasn't major, but nopeβended up feeling like I was stuck in some endless loop of confusion. Every rep seemed to have a different version of what paperwork I needed or who I should talk to next. Honestly, started wondering if it was intentional, just to wear me down. Eventually got sorted, but only after I insisted on speaking with a supervisor directly. Not sure if it's just Oregon or insurance companies everywhere, but it definitely feels like they're counting on us getting frustrated enough to drop it...
Is it just Oregon though, or is this an insurance thing everywhere? Had a fender-bender couple years back in Californiaβnothing fancy, just my old Corolla getting tapped at a stoplight. Thought it'd be a quick fix, but nope...ended up feeling like I was playing phone tag with the entire company. Every call had me wondering if they were making up new forms on the spot just to mess with me. And why is it always "someone else" who has the final say on your claim?
Eventually got sorted after I asked point-blank if they were trying to wait me out. Funny enough, that seemed to speed things along. Maybe it's part of their playbook? Wear us down till we give up and fix it ourselves? Or am I just being paranoid here...
