Quick poll: do you guys usually double-check if your insurance covers a friend borrowing your car, or um...do you just hand over the keys and hope for the best? Curious how careful everyone is about this.

Honestly, I've always been more of a "hand over the keys and cross fingers" type myself—probably not the wisest strategy, I admit. But now that you mention it, I'm wondering if anyone's actually had to deal with insurance after lending their car to a friend? Was it smooth sailing or a total headache? I've been lucky so far, but maybe it's time I reconsider my carefree ways...
