Had a minor fender bender a couple weeks ago—nothing serious, thankfully, but enough to need repairs. Thought it'd be straightforward, you know, file the claim, get it sorted, move on. But man, the back-and-forth with my insurance company has been a headache. First they needed extra photos, then they wanted another estimate from a different shop, and now they're saying something about needing more documentation from the other driver. Feels like I'm stuck in some endless loop of paperwork and phone calls.
I'm curious if this is just my luck or if others around here have had similar experiences dealing with insurance claims in New York. Is it always this complicated or am I just having a particularly rough go of it?
