Yeah, those trackers are wild. I had one for a bit and it kept flagging me for “hard braking” when someone cut me off in school traffic. Like, what am I supposed to do, just let them hit me? Honestly felt more stressful than helpful.

Those trackers really can be more hassle than they’re worth. I tried one for a few months because my agent said it might help after my last speeding ticket. Instead, it dinged me for “aggressive acceleration” every time I tried to merge onto the highway with my kids in the back. Honestly, it just made me more anxious behind the wheel. I ended up switching to a company that offered a discount for taking an online safe driving course—no tracker required. Not a massive savings, but it helped a bit and felt less invasive. Might be worth looking into if you haven’t already.

- Totally get what you mean about the trackers.
- Tried one myself—felt like I was being graded on every little thing, even stuff that’s just normal driving.
- The safe driving course discount is a solid tip. I did one of those for my permit and it actually wasn’t a waste of time.
- Not sure if it’s just me, but sometimes those “telematics” things feel more stressful than helpful.
- Glad you found something that worked better for you. It’s tough out there with tickets, but you’re not alone.

Yeah, those trackers can definitely feel a bit much. I’ve seen people get dinged for stuff like braking too hard when someone cuts them off—sometimes you just can’t win. The safe driving course is a good move, though. Some companies also look at how long it’s been since your last ticket, so time can help too. Not everyone loves telematics, and honestly, they’re not always the magic fix people hope for. Sometimes just shopping around every six months makes a difference... weird but true.

Honestly, I think those trackers are more trouble than they're worth. I tried one for a few months and it dinged me for stuff that was just normal city driving—like, what am I supposed to do when someone slams on their brakes in front of me? Felt like I was being punished for other people’s bad driving half the time. Shopping around is good, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay a bit more until your record clears up. Not ideal, but stressing over every little thing the tracker picks up just isn’t worth it.
