Had a similar surprise myself a couple years back. Thought my credit card had me fully covered—until a cracked windshield happened. Card company said glass wasn't included, and I ended up footing the bill. Ever since then, I double-check the fine print and usually grab a standalone policy. Might seem like overkill, but better safe than sorry...especially when traveling on a tight budget.
