Yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from. Those little repairs on a high-end car are brutal—my old neighbor had a C-Class and a cracked taillight set him back almost $800. For me, the way I look at it is: first, check how much you’re really saving per year with the higher deductible. Then, estimate how likely you are to actually file a claim (easier said than done, I know). If you park on the street or in crowded lots, that risk goes up fast. But if your car’s mostly in a garage, maybe it’s worth taking the chance. It’s all about balancing the numbers with your own comfort level... and maybe a little luck with shopping carts.
