I was chatting with my neighbor yesterday, and he casually mentioned that he saved a pretty decent chunk of money on his car insurance just by raising his deductible a bit. I mean, I knew it could lower premiums, but didn't realize it could be that noticeable. Apparently, if you're someone who rarely files claims (knock on wood), this can really add up over time.
