Yeah, I've noticed that too. A lot of smaller insurers seem to outsource specialized claims—glass, roadside assistance, even rental cars sometimes. It's not always bad, but definitely adds another layer of hassle if things go sideways... Learned that the hard way myself.

Yeah, been there too. Couple things I've noticed:
- Outsourcing isn't always bad, but communication between the insurer and third-party can get messy fast.
- Had a windshield claim once where the glass company kept pointing fingers back at my insurer—felt like playing phone tag for days.
- On the flip side, sometimes specialized companies do handle stuff quicker... just depends on luck, I guess.

Still skeptical about smaller insurers overall, but open to being convinced otherwise.

Totally get your skepticism about smaller insurers... had my doubts too. But honestly, after bouncing around between a few big-name companies (and paying through the nose), I decided to try a smaller provider. Here's what helped me:

1. Check reviews carefully—especially how they handle claims.
2. Ask directly about their claims process upfront—who handles it, turnaround times, etc.
3. Document every conversation you have with them—emails, call logs, whatever.

Not saying it's perfect, but doing some homework beforehand can save headaches later... at least that's been my experience.

Did you find that online reviews were actually reliable for smaller insurers? I tried the same thing, read tons of reviews, but when I had a claim, the experience didn't match up at all. I'm curious if you noticed any red flags that stood out beforehand. Maybe I missed something obvious... or maybe it's just luck of the draw? I've been sticking with a mid-sized insurer now—less known but stable enough to sleep at night.

I've had mixed luck with reviews too, honestly. They're helpful to a point, but I've noticed smaller insurers often don't have enough reviews to really get a clear picture. One or two glowing or terrible experiences can skew things pretty dramatically. Did you notice if the reviews you read mentioned specific claim scenarios? I found that when reviewers talked about actual claims—like how quickly they responded or if they tried to lowball repairs—it gave me a better sense of what to expect.

Also, sometimes it's just plain luck. My last insurer had great reviews, but when I had a minor fender-bender, it was like pulling teeth to get reimbursed. Now I'm with a smaller company that's been surprisingly smooth so far (knock on wood...). Maybe mid-sized is the sweet spot—big enough to handle claims efficiently, small enough to still care about customer service. Glad you found one that's working out!
