I’d rather just not risk it. Guess I’m too cautious to find out the hard way.
I get that. I’m always checking my fuel gauge way more than I probably need to. The idea of waiting on the side of the road just stresses me out. Has anyone actually used those fuel delivery services? I wonder if they’re reliable or if you end up waiting forever anyway.

Totally get where you’re coming from. I had a client who ran out of gas on a rural highway—she called her roadside assistance and it took almost two hours for someone to show up. She was safe, but it definitely rattled her. I think being “too cautious” is underrated, honestly. It’s way less hassle to just top off the tank than gamble with your time (and nerves).
I get anxious about that too, honestly. The idea of sitting there, just waiting, isn’t my favorite. But I guess there’s some truth in what you said:
. I used to think I could always “make it” to the next station, but after hearing stories like this, I’m rethinking that. Maybe being extra careful isn’t such a bad thing after all.it’s way less hassle to just top off the tank than gamble with your time (and nerves)
Yeah, I used to push it too, thinking I’d save a few minutes or bucks, but the one time I actually ran out of gas was way more stressful than I expected. Sat on the side of a country road for almost two hours waiting for roadside assistance... not fun. Now I just fill up when I’m close to a quarter tank. Might be playing it safe, but honestly, it’s less nerve-wracking.

- Been there, and yeah, it’s way more stressful than you’d think.
- I always fill up at a quarter tank now too—just makes life easier.
- Running out once was enough for me. Not worth the hassle or the risk, especially late at night.
