I hear you on the quarter tank thing—my dad drilled that into me, but honestly, I’ve pushed it way past “miles left: 0” more times than I’d like to admit. The estimate isn’t gospel, but it’s saved me from a few panic stops at sketchy gas stations. Roadside assistance is great in theory, but last time I called, I waited so long I could’ve walked to the next town. Now I just keep a cheap gas can in the trunk... learned that one the hard way after hoofing it in loafers.
