Been shopping around for car insurance lately since my current policy is getting kinda pricey. Narrowed it down to Geico and Progressive, both seem pretty decent price-wise, but I'm having trouble deciding. Geico's quote came out a bit cheaper, but Progressive has that Snapshot thingy that supposedly lowers your rate if you're a safe driver. Anyone here tried Snapshot? Does it actually save you money or is it just a gimmick?
Also, customer service-wise, I've heard mixed things about both. My cousin swears by Geico, says they're super easy to deal with when you have a claim. But my coworker had a nightmare experience with them last year, so now I'm kinda hesitant.
Anyway, if anyone has experience with either of these two in NY specifically, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts. Just wanna make sure I'm not missing something obvious before I pull the trigger on one of these.
