Adding a teen driver in Hawaii: bundle with parents or separate policy?

I get where you’re coming from, but I actually had a different experience with telematics. My kid started driving last year, and we bundled her on our policy with the tracking device. Rates still went up, but not as much as they would’ve without it. Yeah, it’s annoying being monitored, but for us, the discount was real enough to make it worth the hassle. I guess it depends on the insurer and your driving habits—if you’re already getting dinged for tickets, maybe it’s a wash, but for families with a new driver, it can soften the blow a bit.
