my boss offered cheaper insurance if we join a fitness challenge

My boss just announced this thing today where if we sign up for some fitness challenge app and track our steps or workouts or whatever, we get a pretty decent discount on our health insurance premiums. I mean, I'm not exactly a gym rat, but saving money sounds good. Kinda feels like one of those sitcom episodes waiting to happen...you know, coworkers competing over who can walk the most steps around the office or secretly shaking their phones to fake it. Anyone else had something like this at work?
