I swear every time I try to use a student discount, there's always some weird fine print or hoops to jump through. Like, um, shouldn't it just be simple? Feels like they're making it complicated on purpose sometimes...anyone else notice this?

Yeah, student discounts can be a pain sometimes. But honestly, is it just student discounts? Feels like every discount or promo these days has some weird catch. Ever tried using one of those "special offers" at an auto parts store? I swear, the fine print's longer than my '68 Mustang's repair manual...and that's saying something.
Maybe companies bank on us not bothering to jump through all those hoops. Like, if it's complicated enough, we'll just give up and pay full price anyway. Cynical, sure - but probably true. Or maybe they're just terrible at making things straightforward? Either way, you're definitely not alone in noticing this hassle.
