I totally get what you're saying about Audis. Had a similar head-scratching moment with my older Lexus. CT valued it way higher than I expected, and at first I was annoyed—more taxes, yay—but after browsing around, turns out luxury brands just have this weird staying power in resale markets. Still, like you said:

"Still feels counterintuitive though, especially when you're the one paying the taxes..."

Definitely stings a bit when you're trying to save money...

Yeah, luxury brands hold value surprisingly well—great when you're selling, not so fun at the DMV. I had a similar shock with my Volvo...but hey, at least we know we're driving something solid and safe, right?

Ha, I feel your pain. I remember when I moved here and registered my Audi—I practically needed CPR at the DMV counter. Solid resale value is great until the tax bill hits...but hey, at least potholes don't stand a chance against us, right?

Couldn't agree more. When we registered our family SUV here, I nearly choked on my coffee seeing the property tax bill. Honestly, I wonder if the towns actually put all that money into road maintenance—some of these potholes seem immortal. Has anyone noticed if certain towns handle road repairs better than others, or are we all just doomed to suspension repairs every spring?

Yeah, the property tax shock is real—I remember registering my old Mustang here and thinking, "wait, it's HOW much?" And I feel you on those potholes... sometimes it seems like the roads are maintained just enough to keep mechanics busy every spring.
