Just Found Out CT's Car Insurance Minimums - Am I Underinsured?

I was renewing my car insurance today and realized I've been driving around with just the bare minimum coverage in CT. Um, now I'm kinda worried that's not enough if something serious happens. Anyone else feel like the minimum is too low or am I just paranoid?

The bigger risk isn’t just that Connecticut’s minimum is low compared with another state. Liability coverage only pays up to your policy limits for covered claims; if a serious crash causes more damage than that, you could be personally responsible for the excess. That’s the exposure to weigh when deciding whether higher limits make sense.
