I feel your pain on that one. Had a similar thing happen with my old '72 Charger. It wasn't flashy or anything, just a solid driver I'd fixed up on a tight budget. Left it parked curbside for literally one weekend while I cleared out some junk from the garage, and sure enough, got a warning notice stuck to the windshield. Meanwhile, there's a beat-up van down the street that's been sitting untouched for months—flat tires and all—and nobody bats an eye. Makes you wonder what they're really enforcing...

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing around my neighborhood. Makes me wonder if they're targeting classics specifically or just randomly enforcing rules... anyone else notice certain cars getting singled out more often?

I've wondered about this too. A couple years back, my neighbor had a gorgeous '68 Mustang parked neatly in his driveway—covered, clean, tires inflated, the whole deal. Yet he got slapped with a notice within weeks. Meanwhile, there's been an old rusty pickup parked curbside three blocks down for ages, weeds growing around it and everything... no tickets or notices there. Makes me curious if they're just picking easy targets or if there's some hidden logic behind their enforcement.

Had a similar issue myself. Had my '72 Charger parked neatly in my driveway—covered, clean, and clearly cared for. Got a notice within days. Here's what I did: first, I called the city office directly and asked for specifics on the violation. Turns out, some cities have weird rules about covers or visibility of plates. Second, I adjusted accordingly—removed the cover, made sure plates were visible, and no more notices. Seems enforcement is random, but knowing their exact rules helps avoid headaches.

Had something similar happen with my uncle's old Mustang. He had it parked in his driveway for years, no issues. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, he gets slapped with a violation notice because the tires were "visibly deflated." Seriously? Like, who's walking around checking tire pressure on parked cars? He pumped them up and the notices stopped, but it felt pretty random and nitpicky.

Makes me wonder if cities are cracking down more lately or if it's just certain neighborhoods getting targeted...anyone noticed if enforcement's gotten stricter recently or is this just a weird coincidence?
