Honestly, I’m with you—legal trouble is a whole different level of headache. Insurance hassles are annoying, but you can usually bounce back after a while. A court record, though? That stuff sticks. I’ve seen people lose out on jobs or apartments over things that happened years ago. It’s not just about money at that point—it’s your whole reputation on the line. I’d take higher premiums over a criminal record any day, even if it means dealing with some grumpy agent who thinks I’m a risk.

Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. I had a buddy who got caught up in a minor fraud thing—nothing huge, but it landed him with a record. Years later, he still gets weird looks during background checks, even for stuff like renting a car. Insurance headaches are annoying, sure, but at least you can shop around or wait them out. Legal trouble just lingers in the background, messing with things you wouldn’t even expect. Still, I sometimes wonder if losing trust with friends or family can sting just as much, depending on the situation...
