PAYING MONTHLY FEELS LIKE A PENALTY

Not everyone can drop a lump sum, especially if your rates are already high from tickets or accidents.

Honestly, that’s my life right now. I’d love to pay annually and save, but my wallet just laughs at the idea. I did find one company that didn’t charge extra for monthly, but their base rate was higher, so it kinda balanced out. Feels like you’re stuck paying more either way... unless you win the lottery or suddenly become a perfect driver overnight.

I’ve wondered about that too—like, is it really just about “administrative costs” or is it more about the companies wanting to lock us in? I tried paying monthly for a while when money was tight, but it always felt like I was getting dinged for not being rich enough to pay up front. Kind of ironic, since those of us who need monthly the most are probably least able to afford extra fees. I get that there’s risk for them, but still… feels a bit unfair.
