I totally get where you're coming from. A few years back, my car battery died in the middle of nowhere, and roadside assistance was a lifesaverβ€”literally saved me from a night stranded in the rain. But yeah, I've also wondered why we can't just pick and choose coverage a bit more flexibly. I mean, my policy includes stuff like locksmith services and rental car reimbursement that I've never once used. It's like paying for cable TV when you only watch three channels, right?

On the flip side, though, I've dealt with claims where people thought they'd never need certain coverages...until they did. One guy didn't think rental coverage was necessary until his car was in the shop for two weeks after an accident. Suddenly, he was really glad he had it bundled in. So, I guess it's all about weighing risk vs. convenience. Still, having more customization options would be niceβ€”at least then we'd feel like we're getting exactly what we're paying for.

Totally agree with you on customization being key. I've got classic cars, and honestly, half the bundled stuff doesn't even apply to my rides. More flexibility would definitely make it feel less like throwing money away...

Yeah, that's a common frustration. But honestly, from my experience, AAA still handles claims pretty smoothly compared to others. Curious though, have you looked into specialty insurers for your classics? Might be worth checking out...

Yeah, AAA's definitely shifted gears over the years. I dropped them a while backβ€”felt like I was paying for perks I'd never touch. Switched to a specialty insurer for my weekend cars, and honestly, it's been night and day. Way less hassle, tailored coverage... worth checking into if you're tired of the cookie-cutter stuff.

I've noticed a lot of folks feeling that way lately. Specialty insurers can definitely be a breath of fresh airβ€”especially if you've got unique vehicles or driving habits. Curious, did you find the switch process straightforward, or were there any unexpected hurdles...?
