Man, I hear you. The last time I called AAA, I had enough time to scroll through every social media app, twice, before anyone showed up. It’s wild how much the price creeps up while the service gets slower. Honestly, some insurance companies now offer roadside as an add-on—might not have the “legendary” AAA sticker but at least you’re not paying double for a two-hour wait. Not saying it’s perfect, but it’s worth checking if your policy already includes it. At this point, it feels like you’re paying for nostalgia more than actual peace of mind.

Honestly, I totally get where you’re coming from. I still remember my dad swearing by AAA like it was some kind of secret car-owner’s club, but these days? Feels like you’re paying for the sticker and a magazine you never read. I switched to my insurance company’s roadside plan last year after waiting nearly three hours for a jump. It’s not perfect, but at least I’m not shelling out extra just for tradition’s sake. Maybe AAA’s just resting on its old reputation…

That’s exactly it. I used to think the AAA card was like a golden ticket for road trips, but lately it’s just another thing in my wallet. Last time I needed a tow, it took forever and the driver acted like he was doing me a favor. Switched to my bank’s roadside plan—cheaper, and honestly, same level of “meh” service. At least I’m not paying extra for nostalgia.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’ve actually had the opposite experience. AAA’s been slow a couple times, sure, but at least they didn’t try to nickel-and-dime me for every little thing like my old insurance’s roadside “perk.” Maybe it depends on the area, but I’d rather deal with a grumpy tow driver than get hit with surprise fees. The nostalgia’s not worth much, but the coverage has saved me more than once.

Honestly, I’ve had mixed luck with AAA lately. Used to be rock solid, but last time I needed a tow, it took almost two hours and the driver tried to upsell me on a “premium” jumpstart. Maybe it’s just my area, but it feels like the service isn’t what it used to be. The bank plans are cheaper, but I’m not sure they’d be any better if I actually needed them...
