Just got my car insurance renewal and it actually dropped for once, haha. I tweaked a few things like mileage estimates and bundled policies...wondering if anyone else had luck lowering theirs lately?

Yeah, bundling definitely helps. Did you also check if raising your deductible made a noticeable difference? I bumped mine up slightly last renewal and it shaved off a decent chunk...worth considering if you're comfortable with the risk.

Yeah, raising the deductible can definitely help, but honestly, it depends how lucky (or unlucky) you feel. I bumped mine up a couple years ago thinking I was invincible...then promptly backed into my neighbor's mailbox two weeks later. Classic me. Still saved money overall, but man, that mailbox was pricey. Anyway, another sneaky trick is checking if your insurer offers discounts for defensive driving courses—sounds lame, but it's an easy online class and can knock off a few bucks.

Totally agree about the defensive driving course—did mine last year, and it was surprisingly painless. Another thing worth checking is bundling your policies. I combined my home and auto insurance under one provider, and the savings were pretty noticeable. Personally, though, I'm cautious about raising deductibles too high...knowing my luck, the second I do that, a deer will jump out in front of me or something. Better safe than sorry, right?
