Been looking at my insurance bills lately and thinking, um, maybe it's time to shop around or adjust coverage a bit. Curious how many of you have recently changed your West Virginia insurance to save some cash?

Quick poll:
- Switched providers completely
- Adjusted coverage/deductibles
- Bundled policies
- Haven't changed anything yet

Did both recently. Had no choice really... my record isn't exactly spotless (couple speeding tickets, one fender-bender), so I was paying through the nose. Shopped around aggressively and ended up switching to a smaller company. Also bumped my deductible way up—figured if I wreck again, I'm screwed anyway, so might as well save cash now. Knocked about 20% off my monthly bill, which isn't huge but I'll take it.

Did something similar last year after my insurance jumped up randomly. Ended up raising my deductible and dropping some extras I never used anyway. Saved enough to cover gas for a couple weekend road trips, so totally worth it in my book...

Did pretty much the same thing a few months back. Dropped roadside assistance since my credit card already covers it, and bumped up the deductible a bit. Also shopped around and found another provider offering better rates for similar coverage—saved me about $30/month. Not huge, but adds up over the year...enough to cover a few family dinners out at least.

Did something similar before our last big road trip—figured if I'm already paying AAA, why double up on roadside coverage? Freed up enough cash for extra snacks... priorities, right? Did you notice any downside yet?
