bare minimum coverage vs. extra protection - what do you prefer?

I've been looking into car insurance lately since I'm moving to West Virginia soon, and I'm kinda stuck between just getting the bare minimum coverage required by law or paying a bit more for extra protection. I mean, saving money sounds great, but then again, accidents happen and I'd hate to be caught short if something serious goes down. Curious what you guys think - is it worth spending the extra cash for peace of mind or nah?

I'm with you on this one - saving money is tempting, but honestly, the extra coverage is worth it. Had a friend who went bare minimum and ended up paying big time after a fender-bender turned into a nightmare... Better safe than sorry, imo.
