Had a small kitchen fire last month, nothing major thankfully, but enough smoke and water damage to ruin some furniture and electronics. Insurance came back with a payout that was way lower than what I originally paid for everything. They said something about depreciation and actual cash value...I dunno, seemed kinda unfair to me. Has this happened to anyone else?
