So my car got totaled last month - some guy ran a red and boom, that was it. Thought I was covered, but turns out my insurance payout wasn't even close to what I owed on the loan. Ended up having to pay thousands out of pocket. Honestly, never even knew this could happen... figured insurance was supposed to, you know, insure you. Has anyone else had this happen or am I just super unlucky here?
