I get the hesitation about smaller insurers—been there myself. Had a buddy with Farm Bureau who swears by 'em after his Mustang got dinged up at a show. They handled it quick and didn't hassle him about using original parts. State Farm's solid too, no doubt, but bigger doesn't always mean better when it comes to classic rides. Still, can't blame you for leaning toward the name recognition... peace of mind counts for a lot.

Totally get where you're coming from on the peace of mind thing—it's hard to beat a familiar name when your pride and joy is on the line. I've had State Farm for years, and they've been pretty reliable overall. But funny enough, my neighbor switched to Farm Bureau after his '68 Camaro got sideswiped, and he won't stop raving about how smoothly they handled it. Guess sometimes the smaller guys have more to prove, so they step up their game... food for thought anyway.

Haha, true story! I've bounced between both over the years—mostly chasing better rates (gotta save those pennies for gas money, right?). State Farm's always been solid, but honestly, Farm Bureau surprised me last time I made a claim. They handled things quick and easy, no drama. Maybe it's like picking a diner: big chains are predictable, but sometimes that hole-in-the-wall joint dishes out the tastiest burger...

I've stuck with State Farm for years, mostly because I'm cautious by nature and like knowing exactly what I'm getting. But honestly, your diner analogy makes sense... sometimes the smaller outfits really do go the extra mile. My brother switched to Farm Bureau last year after a fender bender, and he said their claim process was surprisingly smooth—no hoops to jump through or endless paperwork. Might have to reconsider next renewal... saving a few bucks without sacrificing peace of mind sounds pretty tempting.

I've noticed the same thing about smaller insurers too. Big companies like State Farm are reliable, sure, but sometimes it feels like you're just another policy number. Smaller outfits like Farm Bureau can surprise you—they often have more personalized service because they're trying harder to earn your trust. Have you checked if Farm Bureau offers any local agent perks or discounts? Sometimes those little extras make a big difference in overall value and comfort level...
