Mileage tracking apps sound handy, but honestly, they felt like a hassle to me. I tried one for a couple months and kept forgetting to log my trips... or worse, my phone would die halfway through. 😂 Eventually, I switched to just calling my insurer directly and asking about discounts for bundling renter's insurance with car insurance. Got a decent break on the price without having to worry about tracking every mile. Just another route to consider if you're not the organized type like me.

Yeah, mileage apps were a pain for me tooβ€”always forgetting to start or stop them. Bundling sounds easier, but did your insurer make you jump through hoops to qualify for discounts, or was it pretty straightforward?

Bundling was pretty easy for meβ€”just had to show proof of renter's insurance and car coverage. No hoops really, but the discount wasn't huge either...still better than nothing tho. Did your insurer mention any other easy discounts?

Mine mentioned a discount for completing a defensive driving course...didn't sound super exciting, but it was pretty straightforward and actually helpful. Have you checked if yours offers something similar? Might be worth asking about.

I went through something similar a while back. My insurer offered a small discount if I installed one of those tracking devices to monitor driving habits. Wasn't exactly thrilled about being monitored, but honestly, it made me more aware of my driving styleβ€”ended up braking earlier and paying closer attention to speed limits. A bit intrusive maybe, but if you're cautious already, it's an easy way to trim costs without much hassle. Worth considering if your insurer offers it.
