Tried telematics myself for a few months last year—honestly, it was eye-opening. Didn't realize how often I braked hard until the app pointed it out. Ended up saving a decent chunk too...worth experimenting with at least temporarily.

Tried telematics myself briefly too, and yeah, same here—never realized how aggressively I accelerated onto highways until the app flagged it. Didn't love the constant monitoring vibe, but it did shave off about 15% from my premium...so can't complain much.

Had a similar experience when I first got my Audi—thought I drove pretty smoothly until telematics showed otherwise. The braking alerts drove me nuts, but hey, the savings covered a few nice dinners, so worth the minor annoyance I guess...

Went through something similar myself—thought I was a pretty chill driver until I got telematics installed. Turns out my "gentle braking" wasn't so gentle after all, haha. But honestly, once I adjusted my driving habits, the savings were noticeable enough to justify the initial frustration. Covered a good chunk of my weekend road trip expenses last summer, so can't complain too much...

I feel this. I've always been skeptical about those telematics things, probably because my driving style is more "spirited" than gentle, haha. Plus, as someone who drives a classic car, the idea of hooking up modern tech to my old-school ride just doesn't sit right with me. But honestly, hearing your experience kinda makes me reconsider—especially when you mention actual noticeable savings. Weekend road trips ain't cheap these days...

Still, I wonder how sensitive those trackers really are. I mean, there's spirited driving and then there's reckless driving—two totally different things in my book. I'd hate to get dinged for just enjoying a good twisty road every now and then. But hey, if it genuinely helps cut down expenses without completely killing the joy of driving, maybe it's worth a shot? Might have to borrow a friend's newer car first to test it out though...no way I'm risking my vintage baby right off the bat, lol.
