"Liability-only can save cash, but remember, if you cause an accident, repairs are all on you."

Yeah, learned that one the hard way myself. Had liability-only on my old Civic back in college—thought I was being smart and saving money. Then one icy morning, I slid right into a curb... bent axle, busted rim, the whole deal. Ended up costing way more than full coverage would've been over two years. Definitely agree about keeping some emergency cash around for unexpected repairs...and maybe invest in decent tires before winter hits, haha.

Been there myself—had liability-only on my trusty old Corolla years ago, thinking I was beating the system. Then, bam, rear-ended someone at a stoplight (totally my fault, sadly). Their bumper? Barely scratched. Mine? Looked like it got punched by the Hulk. Lesson learned: saving a few bucks upfront can bite you later. Definitely second the advice on tires though...good rubber is cheaper than bodywork any day.

I can definitely relate—years ago I had a '68 Mustang I was restoring, went liability-only figuring I'd save cash for parts and upgrades. Sure enough, some kid backed into me at a gas station...slow speed, minimal damage to his Civic, but my Mustang's front grille was toast. Finding replacement parts for classics isn't cheap or easy! Learned the hard way that sometimes "saving money" upfront just means paying double later...

Man, your story brings back memories. Had a similar experience myself—years ago, I was driving an old Camaro I'd poured way too much money into (you know how it goes). Thought I'd be smart and cut corners on insurance, figuring "what could possibly happen?" Well, Murphy's Law kicked in, and a falling tree branch decided my hood needed some custom bodywork. Turns out, trees don't carry insurance either.

You're right though, classic car parts are no joke. Spent weeks hunting down replacements, and my wallet still hasn't forgiven me. It's funny how we think we're saving money until life decides to teach us otherwise. But hey, at least we get some good stories out of it...and maybe a little wisdom too.

Haha, been there myself. Back when I first got my Civic, I figured liability-only was plenty—until a deer decided to remodel my front bumper. Learned real quick that cheaping out on insurance can bite you hard. Nowadays, I shop around every renewal and tweak deductibles instead of coverage. Still skeptical about paying extra, but life's taught me it's better than hunting down junkyard parts in the rain...
