I've had a couple impatient drivers pass me lately, but better safe than sorry, right?

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing—after my defensive driving course, I started leaving extra room and got honked at a few times. Honestly though, I'd rather deal with impatient drivers than another rear-end claim... those premiums sting.

Haha, as someone who's had more than my share of "premium-raising incidents," here's my foolproof method: Step 1, ignore honks. Step 2, wave politely. Step 3, remind yourself that impatient honkers don't chip in for your insurance hikes... works every time.

Haha, I get ignoring honks, but sometimes they're honking for a legit reason—like your gas cap dangling open (been there...). Maybe a quick glance first before the wave? Could save you from an embarrassing pit stop later.

Been there too... except mine was worse. I once drove off with my coffee mug still on the roof. Didn't realize until I saw brown streaks down the back window at a stoplight. So yeah, quick glance before waving someone off is solid advice. Congrats on the insurance savings, btw—those defensive driving courses really do pay off in the long run.

Haha, coffee mug on the roof is classic... I've seen worse though—had a client once who drove off with their laptop still up there. Defensive driving courses definitely help, plus they're a nice refresher on stuff we tend to forget over time.
