Totally agree about those sensors—I borrowed a friend's car once, and the thing went nuts every time someone got remotely close. Felt like I was driving with a paranoid backseat driver the whole time. On the defensive driving note, I took one after my second fender-bender (yeah... learned that lesson the hard way). It actually changed how I approach intersections and merging lanes—way less stressful now, and the insurance discount definitely softened the blow of my past mishaps.

Had a similar experience with those sensors—borrowed my brother's SUV and it kept beeping like crazy in tight parking lots. Ended up ignoring it half the time, which defeats the purpose, right? As for defensive driving, took one a few years back after a close call on the freeway. Definitely made me more aware of blind spots and lane changes. Plus, can't complain about the insurance savings either...

Totally relate to the sensor frustration—mine goes into panic mode every time I back into my garage, like it's convinced I'm about to demolish the house. I've learned to tune it out, but yeah, defeats the whole point. On the defensive driving front, took one last year myself after a near-miss at an intersection. Honestly, it was surprisingly helpful; made me rethink some bad habits I'd picked up over the years. And hey, the insurance discount was a nice bonus too...

Same here, took one a couple years back and realized I'd been tailgating without even noticing. Definitely worth the refresher—and yeah, can't complain about the insurance savings either...

Yeah, tailgating sneaks up on you if you're not careful—had a similar wake-up call myself. After my course, I found myself giving way more space to cars ahead and double-checking mirrors constantly. Now I'm wondering if anyone's noticed any downside, like maybe getting honked at more often for being overly cautious... I've had a couple impatient drivers pass me lately, but better safe than sorry, right?
