Bundling roadside with insurance is smart, but yeah, always gotta watch that fine print. Had a similar issue myself—thought I was covered for unlimited tows until I got stranded twice in one month. Second tow cost me extra, wasn't thrilled about that. Lockouts and jump-starts are another sneaky one... my old plan didn't cover lockouts, found out after locking my keys in the car at 2 AM. Fun times.

Good on you for double-checking now though. Honestly, once you know exactly what's covered, it's a huge relief. Less stress when you're stuck on the side of the road is always a win in my book.

Yeah, learned the hard way myself after a flat tire fiasco on a family road trip. Thought roadside covered tire changes, turns out it only covered towing to the nearest shop. Ended up sitting in some tiny town for hours with grumpy kids and overpriced snacks. Definitely worth combing through details beforehand—saves you from surprise costs and headaches later on. Now I always keep a basic emergency kit in the trunk just in case... peace of mind counts for a lot.

Had a similar wake-up call myself a couple years back. Got stranded with a dead battery in the middle of nowhere, thinking roadside assistance would just jump-start me and I'd be on my way. Turns out my coverage only included towing, not actual repairs or jump-starts. Ended up paying extra out-of-pocket for something I assumed was covered. Definitely learned to read the fine print after that... now I double-check exactly what's included before renewing each year. Small hassle upfront beats a big headache later on.

Haha, isn't it funny how we all become experts at reading fine print only AFTER something goes wrong? Reminds me of when I assumed my roadside assistance covered locking my keys in the car—spoiler alert: it didn't. Had to call a locksmith and pay way too much for a 2-minute job. Anyone else ever get surprised by what's NOT included in their coverage?

Haha, that locksmith fee hits different when you're standing there watching how quickly they pop the door open. Reminds me of when I assumed my roadside assistance covered towing from anywhere—turns out it only applied within a certain radius from home. Found that out the hard way on a family road trip... stranded two states away. Makes me wonder, does anyone actually read all those exclusions beforehand or do we just learn through trial and error?
