I was chatting with a friend yesterday who travels a lot for work, and he casually mentioned he never takes the rental car insurance offered at the counter. I was like, wait, seriously? I always feel kinda pressured into it, you know, like they're staring into my soul waiting for me to cave in and say yes. 😂 But apparently, if you have decent personal auto insurance or even certain credit cards, you're already covered. He said some credit cards even offer primary coverage, meaning they pay first before your own insurance kicks in.

Honestly, I had no idea about this. I've probably wasted hundreds of bucks over the years just because I didn't wanna risk it. But now I'm curiousβ€”does anyone know more about how reliable credit card coverage actually is? Or if there's some sneaky fine print that makes it risky to decline the rental company's offer? Seems like one of those things that's too good to be true...
