I've had to deal with insurance claims a few times now, and every single time it feels like I'm relearning the whole process from scratch. Thought I'd share what I've figured out so far, maybe it'll help someone else.

First thing I do is gather all the paperworkβ€”doctor bills, receipts, any notes from appointments. Then I call my insurance company directly to double-check exactly what they need. Learned the hard way that guessing doesn't end well, lol. After that, I fill out their forms carefully (seriously, one missed checkbox can delay everything). Then I make copies of everything before sending it off, because stuff gets lost ALL the time.

Once it's sent, I set a reminder to follow up in about two weeks. Insurance companies aren't exactly speedy, you know? Usually, I have to call at least once or twice more before I see any money.

But honestly, this feels like a lot of hassle. Anyone got a smoother way to handle this stuff or some tips to make it less of a headache?
