"And speaking of lost wages, does anyone know if insurers typically cover partial days missed?"

From what I've read, it depends on your policy details. My agent said partial days can be covered but you need clear documentation from your employer... definitely something I'll double-check before signing anything.

When I had my accident a couple years back, I missed a few half-days for doc appointments and dealing with repairs. My insurer covered them, but only after my supervisor signed off on exact hours missed. Definitely worth checking your policy closely—mine was pretty particular about documentation. Saved me from losing out on a chunk of pay though, so I'm glad I asked ahead of time.

Good call checking the fine print ahead of time. Insurance companies can be picky about paperwork, but once you get the hang of it, it's usually straightforward. Glad it worked out for you without too much hassle...makes all the difference when dealing with accident stress.

True, but from personal experience as someone labeled "high-risk," I'd advise double-checking everything. Even minor oversights can delay claims significantly...better safe than sorry when dealing with PIP coverage.

Good points, but honestly, even if you're not high-risk, PIP paperwork can still be a headache. Last year, I missed one checkbox—just one—and it set my claim back almost two weeks. Always triple-check everything...
