Just got back from a trip to Oregon and renting a car was fine, but man, the insurance stuff drove me nuts. Felt like every option was confusing or overpriced, you know? Wondering if others had the same experience or if it's just me...

Had pretty much the same issue last year when I visited Portland. I'm considered a high-risk driver, so insurance is always a bit of a headache for me anyway, but Oregon seemed extra confusing. Ended up declining their pricey options and used my credit card's rental coverage instead. Saved me some cash and hassle...might be worth checking if your card offers something similar next time you're traveling.
