Avoiding hefty fines for driving without insurance in OK—how I do it, but is there a better way?

I’ve got a system that’s about as foolproof as my memory (so… not very). I keep a paper copy in the glove box, snap a pic on my phone, and email it to myself. That way, if one fails, maybe the other two won’t let me down. Still managed to hand over an expired card once—cop just shook his head.

I hear you on the expired card—I’ve done that too, right in front of my kids, which was just great. I keep the latest card in my wallet, but my partner always forgets to swap them out. Ever tried one of those insurance apps? Wondering if that’s any better or just another thing to forget...
