I had a similar experience a few winters back with my classic Mustang—just a tiny slide on some ice, barely scratched the other car, but my premium still jumped noticeably. Makes me wonder if insurers factor in Ohio winters enough when setting rates...

Had a similar thing happen to me driving through Cleveland a couple years ago—just a minor fender bump on icy roads. Premium shot up more than I expected. Makes me think accident forgiveness might actually pay off around here, given how unpredictable Ohio winters get...

Honestly, accident forgiveness can be pretty handy around here, especially if you're dealing with Ohio winters regularly. I mean, have you seen how people drive in Cleveland when the snow starts falling? It's like a statewide ice-skating competition out there...

But seriously, it depends a lot on your driving habits and your insurer. Some companies offer it as a free perk after you've been accident-free for a while; others make you pay extra. Have you checked if your current insurer has it built-in or charges separately? If it's just a few bucks more per month, it could save you from the frustration of watching your premiums spike after one minor slip-up.

I had a client who skipped on accident forgiveness because he figured he'd never need it—until he slid into his mailbox (of all things!) during an icy morning commute. Let's just say his mailbox ended up being way more expensive than he planned...

Accident forgiveness has definitely paid off for me personally. I'm a pretty cautious driver now, but a few years back, I was considered high-risk after a couple of minor incidents. One winter morning near Akron, I hit a patch of black ice and slid right into the curb—nothing major, but enough to mess up my alignment. Without accident forgiveness, my premiums would've skyrocketed. Given Ohio's unpredictable winters, I'd say it's worth considering, even if you're generally careful.
