I get the peace of mind argument, but honestly, I've driven rural Ohio my whole life—mostly around Coshocton—and never needed it. Feels like insurance companies just cashing in on our anxiety...but hey, maybe I've just been lucky so far.

I see your point, but have you considered the risk factor changing based on your driving habits? I used to think exactly like you until I moved closer to Columbus for work. More traffic, more distractions...and suddenly I found myself in a minor fender-bender after years of clean driving. My rates jumped noticeably. Makes me wonder if accident forgiveness would've saved me money in the long run. Maybe location and driving patterns matter more than we think?

Do you drive daily in heavy traffic or mostly stick to quieter roads? If you're regularly dealing with Columbus rush hour, accident forgiveness could def pay off...but if you're mostly suburban or rural, might just be throwing money away. Worth crunching some numbers based on your actual usage.

Yeah, that's a good point. I mostly drive suburban roads around Dayton, but even then I've had a couple close calls—like deer jumping outta nowhere. Makes me wonder if accident forgiveness might still be worth it...

I get why you're considering it, especially with deer popping out randomly—Ohio roads can be tricky like that. But honestly, accident forgiveness usually bumps up your premium a bit, so you gotta weigh the cost against the likelihood of actually needing it. If you're generally cautious and haven't had any real incidents yet, you might be better off setting aside that extra money into an emergency fund instead. Just my two cents though...
