Which is better for SR-22 in ND: local agents or online companies?

Honestly, I get wanting to save money and just do it online—SR-22 stuff is already expensive. But I nearly messed up my own paperwork because I missed a tiny checkbox. If you’re tight on cash, double-check everything like three times. Otherwise, that “quick and easy” can turn into a nightmare real fast.

Yeah, I totally get that. Online is cheaper, but man, the forms can be confusing. I did mine online to save a few bucks, but I had to call customer service twice just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything dumb. If you mess up, you’re stuck waiting even longer. I’m all about saving money, but sometimes the stress isn’t worth it. Local agents cost more, but at least they walk you through it. Just depends how comfortable you are with paperwork, I guess.

Honestly, I get the appeal of having someone local walk you through it, but I dunno... I’ve had just as many headaches with agents as I have online. Last time I tried a local office, they messed up my paperwork and I still had to wait. At least online, I can double-check everything myself and not have to take time off work to sit in some office. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather deal with a confusing website than someone who’s in a rush to close up for the day.

I get where you’re coming from—some agents really do seem like they’re racing the clock. But I’ve also seen online forms glitch out and lose everything halfway through, which is its own kind of nightmare. Honestly, I think it comes down to who you trust more: yourself with a clunky website, or someone local who might be having a bad day. I’ve had both go sideways, but at least with a person, I can ask a million questions (even if they sigh a little).

That’s the thing—when my ‘72 Chevelle needed an SR-22, the online forms just about made me throw my laptop. Local agent wasn’t thrilled with my questions, but at least I got answers. I’ll take a sigh over a website crash any day.
