I made a pretty dumb mistake last year, got myself a DUI here in Jersey. Learned my lesson big time, trust me. Anyway, my insurance renewal just came in and holy cow, it's like triple what I was paying before. I knew it'd go up, but this feels kinda insane. I shopped around a bit, but everywhere else seems just as bad. I'm curious if anyone else had a similar experience - like, does it ever get better after a year or two, or am I stuck paying these crazy rates forever? If you went through this, did switching companies help at all, or is it pretty much the same everywhere? Feeling pretty bummed about this, honestly.
