So my current car insurance just jacked up my rates again for no reason (no accidents, tickets, nothing). I'm pretty fed up and looking to switch. I've been googling around but it's hard to tell from just the websites which companies are actually decent here in Montana. Anyone got personal experience with a company that's fair priced and doesn't give you the runaround when you actually need them? I'm open to suggestions, horror stories, whatever you've got...

I'm actually in the same boat as you, except I'm shopping around for the first time and honestly... insurance feels like a maze built by evil geniuses. 😂

Here's what I've gathered so far from my obsessive research (and mild panic):

- State Farm seems popular around here, but I've heard mixed reviews about their claims processβ€”some say it's smooth, others say it's a headache.
- My cousin swears by Progressive; he had a deer run-in last winter and said they handled it pretty quickly without any drama.
- Avoiding horror stories is my main goal, but honestly, every company seems to have at least a few angry customers online, so it's hard to tell what's legit.

Quick question though: has anyone tried bundling their car insurance with renter's or homeowner's insurance? Does that actually save you money, or is it just marketing hype? I'm trying to adult properly here, but it's rough...

Bundling can definitely save you some cashβ€”I did it with Progressive and shaved off about 15% overall. Insurance shopping is always a headache, but you're doing great... hang in there, it gets easier once you're set up.
