Had a minor fender bender recently, nothing serious but enough to deal with insurance. Anyway, I started the claim online at first thinking it'd be quicker, but ended up getting frustrated with the forms and switched to calling instead. Surprisingly, the phone rep was super helpful and sorted things out faster than I expected. Curious if most people here prefer handling these things online or just calling directly... thoughts?

I've had similar experiences myself - initially thought online would streamline things, but the forms often lack clarity or flexibility. Calling directly usually lets you clarify details immediately and avoid misunderstandings, especially with nuanced claims. Glad it worked out smoothly for you.

- Agree 100% on the clarity issue - those online forms are a mess sometimes.
- Had a minor fender-bender last year, thought I'd breeze through online. Nope. Ended up stuck on some vague dropdown menu options that didn't match my situation at all.
- Called instead, got a real person in minutes, and sorted it out quickly. Plus, they gave me tips on documenting damage properly - something the portal definitely didn't offer.
- Online's fine for basic stuff, but anything remotely complicated...just pick up the phone.
