Yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from. Those trackers stress me out too—one weird drive and your “safe driver” discount disappears. I’ve had to send in odometer pics before and honestly, it’s a hassle but better than having my every move tracked. The oil change receipt trick is smart, never thought of that. You’re right about double-checking your policy details... I found out last year mine was set way higher than my actual mileage. Worth the effort to push back a bit, even if it feels tedious.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a balancing act. The hassle of sending odometer pics is annoying, but compared to those trackers, I’d take it any day. That oil change receipt idea is clever, though—sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference. Double-checking mileage on your policy really does pay off. It’s tedious, but you’re spot on—it can save you money if you catch an error.

Couldn’t agree more—those trackers feel way too invasive for my taste. I’ve got a ‘72 Chevelle that barely leaves the garage, and snapping a quick photo now and then is a small price to pay for keeping insurance costs down. Plus, you’re right about catching errors... I once noticed my policy had me down for 12k miles a year when I barely hit 2k. Fixed it and saved a chunk. Sometimes the old-school way just works better.
