I've been dealing with an injury claim after a car accident, and honestly, it's dragging on way longer than I expected. I'm hearing all sorts of timelines from friendsβ€”some say theirs wrapped up in a couple months, others took over a year (yikes). Got me wondering what's typical. Quick poll: how long did your injury claim take from start to finish?

- Under 3 months
- 3-6 months
- 6 months - 1 year
- Over a year (ugh)

- Most claims I've seen hover around the 6-month mark, but honestly, there's no "typical" timeline.
- Factors like medical treatment length, disputes over fault, or even just paperwork delays can drag things out way longer than you'd expect.
- Curious though... did your insurance give you any estimated timeframe upfront, or are they keeping you in the dark?

Mine took around 8 months, mostly because I had to keep chasing down paperwork from my doctor's office (fun times...). If you stay on top of documentation yourself, you might shave off some hassle and waiting.
