Had a pretty rough accident last year, ended up with a broken leg and some other stuff. Anyway, my insurance company recommended this online claims portal thingy to help manage everything. At first, I was skepticalβ€”seemed like just another hassleβ€”but honestly, it made things way easier than I expected. Still had some frustrating moments tho, like uploading documents was kinda glitchy sometimes. Anyone else tried these online claim portals after an injury? Curious if your experience was similar or if mine was just lucky.

Tried one of those portals recently after a minor car accidentβ€”first time dealing with insurance stuff, so wasn't expecting much. Honestly, it wasn't terrible, but wasn't exactly smooth sailing either. Had similar issues with uploading docs, kept timing out or something. Ended up calling customer support anyway, which kinda defeated the purpose of the online thing. Still, it did help keep track of everything in one place, so I guess that's a plus. Maybe these portals are still a work in progress...or maybe my insurance company just needs better IT people, lol. Glad yours worked out better though.

Haha, honestly, it's probably a bit of both. I've seen some portals that are super intuitive and others that feel like they're stuck in 2005. Had a client recently who spent ages uploading docs only to find out the portal didn't even save half of them. Ended up doing the old-school email attachment dance instead. Guess tech upgrades aren't exactly priority number one for some insurers...
